Case Study – getting tar out of a carpet using Nanolia AG Removal Gel Pro

Just how good a remover is Nanolia AG Removal Gel Pro?

A customer came to us with a problem. Someone had just walked tar over a newly laid carpet. Did we have anything that might remove the tar without damaging the carpet? Based on the fact that tar is oil-based, we suggested he tried – on a small sample – Nanolia AG Removal Gel Pro, which is the product usually recommended for removing graffiti from surfaces that had not previously been treated with our anti-graffiti protection.

What do you think happened?

Well, we were amazed to receive the following email, which looked at first to be a complaint, but we were relieved to find, was in fact very good news:

Hi David

Set aside 30 minutes to have a go at removing tar from a carpet expecting it to be quite difficult to get the tar out of the pile then came across another problem you may be able to help with:

  1. What do i do now with the other 27 minutes left as the tar is removed?
  2. How do I disguise the clean patch as the rest of the new carpet now looks dirty

The Nanolia AG Removal Gel Pro removed the tar in approx 2.5 minutes covering an area of approx 75mm² and has not affected the colour of the carpet.

Now I am going to the client to suggest the whole carpet is protected which is quite a lot of carpet as this is a very large NHS building!

Kind Regards

Ben

So thanks to Ben, we now know that our AG Removal Gel Pro removes tar from carpets, one of the toughest cleaning tasks imaginable. Wow, and thanks Ben!
