Anti-Graffiti

Graffiti Guard for Porous Surfaces is a permanent, high-performance water-based protection for absorbent mineral surfaces such as concrete, masonry and natural stone. Free from organic solvents, it creates an invisible hydrophobic, oleophobic, breathable and weather-stable surface that also impedes the growth of algae, lichens and mosses.

Surfaces sealed with Graffiti Guard for Non-porous Surfaces can be easily and swiftly cleaned using just a small amount of water and without the use of special cleaning agents. This “easy-to-clean” property greatly extends the working life of the graffiti protection by reducing the need for vigorous cleaning or abrasive cleaning agents.

Nanolia Graffiti Removal products are specifically designed for the rapid removal of all types of graffiti from surfaces that have been previously treated with Nanolia’s GRAFFITI GUARD. They are suitable for use on previously-treated concrete, natural stone, sand-lime brick, wood, metal, glass, plastic, plexi-glass polycarbonate (Lexan, MAKROLON, etc), formica and PU coatings.

Graffiti Removal Gel PRO is for use on porous and non-porous surfaces not yet protected by Nanolia’s Anti-graffiti products. It is especially suitable for the removal of graffiti, emulsion paints and latex colours and enables acrylic plaster, acrylic, alkyd, styrene and NC varnishes to be readily removed with water.

 


Though the word “nano“ has become somewhat of a buzzword in advertising, it is considered to be the key technology for the 21st century.
 

Chemical nanotechnology concerns itself with the investigation, manufacture and uses of structures which are below 100 nanometres. The aim is to identify new characteristics of objects measured on the nano scale, to understand these (and their causes) and to transfer this knowledge into technical developments and (new) applications.

Nanolia coatings are based on pure liquid glass, silicon dioxide, SIO2. Among their many qualities they are “superdurable” and “superphobic” – hard wearing substances that reject oil, water, red wine, oil, fruit juices and most acids in liquid form. Surfaces treated with Nanolia products are easily cleaned with water alone. They become highly durable with the potential to last for many years depending on how they are treated. Should Nanolia coatings shows signs of wear, they are very easy to re-condition. And this how they differ from other surface treatments …
Treating surfaces with Nanolia products gives a similar result to varnishing but without discolouration or the disadvantages of being hydrocarbon-based. Hydrocarbons = oil, which as we are made increasingly aware, is a massive polluter. Other surface treatments that might appear to give a similar result to Nanolia are silicone based which are not nearly so durable.
