NANOLIA AF ADDITIVE

  • Strong organic action against animal/vegetative growth in all types of water
  • Minimal invasion of the environment
  • Colourless – does not affect the colour of any coating

Nanolia Antifouling Additive™

Nanolia Antifouling Additive is a highly efficient booster for antifouling paints. Easy to use, it is simply added to standard antifouling systems to intensify the anti-fungicidal and anti-algae function of submarine coatings. The growth of algae and other plant forms, pipe-worm, mussels and marine creatures is prevented. It’s perfect for use in teflon or copper antifouling systems, making them work more efficiently.

Nanolia-Antifouling Additive contains no pewter or copper and is therefore suitable for treatment of aluminium boats. It can be used in both sea and fresh water.

Technical details:

White, thixotropic dispersion with modern anti-fungus and anti –algae agents

Method of Operation:

Nanolia-Antifouling Additive is easily mixed into the composition of all antifouling systems on the market today. The active agents in the product are carried to the surface (dependent upon the type of antifouling base). Unlike other agents, those used in Nanolia-Antifouling Additive are practically completely dispersed a few hours after having been placed in contact with water, resulting in minimum environmental invasion without any reduction in efficiency and results.

When using Nanolia-Antifouling Additive, generally recommended safety precautions regarding chemicals should be strictly observed (protective clothing, goggles and protective gloves). Before using study the instructions for use.

Nanolia-Antifouling Additive is intended to be used exclusively as an additive for submarine coatings. It is highly important that you follow exactly the instructions for use of the Antifouling System to which it is to be added. Before use (only at a temperature of 10 °C to 30 °C) the product should be thoroughly mixed either by stirring or vigorous shaking. When added to two-component coatings this should be done after the two components have been mixed.

Mix the desired amount of Nanolia-Antifouling Additive into the coating, stirring continually. After a waiting time of 15 minutes, stir again thoroughly. The mixture should be used immediately after stirring.  Should there be a longer “standing time”, it is possible that some components may sink to the bottom – in this case it is necessary to thoroughly stir again before continuing to work with the mixture.

The amount of product required varies according to the water conditions. The following proportions are recommended as a guideline: The addition of 20% Nanolia-Antifouling Additive

150 ml. bottle for 0,75 litres of standard antifouling paint; 0,5 litre bottle for 2,50 litres of standard antifoulingpaint, 1,0 litre and 5,0 Litre canister for commercial use.
