GLASS PRO

  • “Easy-to-clean” effect
  • Superhydrophic – high contact angle
  • Water, dust and dirt simply pearl off
  • No clouding of the surface or reduction of reflective properties
  • Ice/frost formation can be very easily scraped off
  • May be used indoors or outdoors
  • Resistant to chemicals and solvents
  • Ultra-thin coating gives extensive coverage

Nanolia Glass Prois a very long lasting “superhydrophobic” protective coating for glass, ceramic and non-porous mineral based surfaces. The two-component coating is incredibly thin and yet forms a highly durable, resistant and non-yellowing protective surface. Treated surfaces are much easier to clean than ordinary glass – a quick wipe-over with a damp cloth is sufficient; there is no need for additional cleaning products. Adhesion of any new dirt or soiling is dramatically reduced by virtue of the oil and water resistant properties. Water is simply pearled-off, taking dust and dirt with it.

Nanolia Glass Pro is suitable for all glass and ceramic surfaces such as window panes, bath tubs, toilets, tiling, windscreens or shower screens etc.  It has a very long working life – greater than 3 years where there is little or no abrasion. Simply put, Nanolia Glass Pro is the very best, top performing glass treatment on the market today.  It can even be heat treated to provide increased adhesion and resistance against frictional forces. However, for most domestic applications we also offer an easier-to-use, single-component version, Nanolia Glass Clear.

Always test a small sample to ensure that the desired result is achieved before proceeding with the main project. If in doubt, do not proceed.

Use undiluted. Do not use at a temperature under 5°C. Do not use in direct sunlight. When using indoors, be certain that there is adequate ventilation at the working place. The surface to be coated must be completely clean and free from fats/oils. The effectiveness and life-span of the finished coating is highly dependent on the preparation of the surface. We recommend the use of Nanolia Glass Polish to prepare the surface. After the surface to be treated has been cleaned it should be thoroughly rinsed-off using clear water and left to dry before proceeding with application of Glass Pro.

Mix the component A with component B in the proportions 1:1 (by volume). Using a lint-free cloth, apply the product to the surface sparingly and evenly – remember the “less is more” rule – and immediately polish off to a smooth surface free of “striping”. If the surface has “striping”, due to the application of a too thick coating of the product, this may be polished out by the use of a cloth soaked in alcohol. The protective effect of the product starts after only a few minutes and continues to strengthen over the next few days. For really heavy duty industrial applications, a subsequent thermal treatment may be employed at a temperature of 220°C for 20 minutes to provide increased adhesion and resistance against frictional forces.

The container with the original product should be securely closed and sealed immediately after use. In the event of a reduction in efficiency, a new coating can be applied at any time. Following the mixing procedure the finished coating solution is able to be used for about 24 hours. Details in the application vary depending upon the surface which is to be coated. We are happy to advise you fully in these cases.

Treated surfaces are easily cleaned, without the use of commercial cleaning products. The first step is to wipe off the dust/dirt/soiling using a damp cloth. Then wipe-over using a dry cloth. Clouding or “striping” of the surface now cannot occur. Should the surface be cleaned using a commercial product containing tensides (surfactants), the resistant qualities will be temporarily reduced – this is easily brought back to the original level by rinsing thoroughly using plenty of clear water.
Depending entirely upon the surface to be treated, and the method used, about 100 m² can be treated with one litre of this product.
2 x 100 ml bottles, 2 x 1,0 litre bottles, 2 x 10,0 litre canisters. Other packing forms/sizes are possible after prior consultation with us and according to the transport possibilities/regulations.

At least 12 months in a dry place, in the original packing. Protect from frost.

Disposal: Empty packing may be disposed of in the domestic waste. Remaining product must be disposed of according to the local laws and regulations or it must be taken to the community collection point for such materials.
